When I approached Hayden at Champion Knives if he would recreate the fettling knife used by my mentor, he instantly understood the assignment. 

The original knife was rarely out of arm's reach on the workbench of my mentor. It was a simple knife, crafted in the Crown Lynn engineering department, which could be turned to a thousand different uses; cutting, scraping, fettling, scoring, trimming and many more.

Hayden brought his skill and craftsmanship to the project, making each blade by hand from high carbon recycled steel, and finishing each one with a selection of native and hardwood timber handles. Each tool is unique and built to last.
