Vase Making Workshop
Learn the fundamentals of slab building in this half day workshop. Perfect for beginners looking to expand their skill and technique. You’ll create your very
own vase to display or give as a gift.
Duration: 3 hours
Cost: $80 per person

Cup Decorating Workshop
A fun and colourful session for everyone. We provide pre-made bisque fired cups; you bring the creativity. Paint with our range of underglaze colours to design your very own masterpiece. A great family friendly activity.
Duration: 1.5 hours

Platter Making Workshop
Work with clay slabs to create a unique serving platter, personalised with your choice of textures and underglaze colours. A great introduction to working with clay, with guidence and a freedom to explore your creativity.

Mould Making Workshops
Suitable for both beginners and those wanting to hone their mould making skills, this practical workshop will cover the whole process of making a two–piece plaster mould. Students will select a decorative glass bottle, and use boxes to form the mould. Tim covers the different aspects of mould making, demonstrates the process of slipcasting using plaster moulds, enabling students to work the skill into their own future practice.

Tim Grocott of Taus Ceramic
Between 2014–2016, Tim had the privilege to work alongside expert mould maker Bruce Yallop at Studio Ceramics, whose career began at Crown Lynn as a teen. This was an invaluable lesson in craftsmanship and precision; learning how to make production moulds and master moulds for commercial applications. Since then, Tim has run has own ceramic studio, specialising in mould making and slip casting – producing cups, vases, hip flasks and chess pieces.
