This rib originated from a brass tool I purchased years ago. Over time it became an indispensable tool in my pottery practice. The raw brass developed a distinctive patina through years of use, and it was rarely out of arms reach. When it finally wore out, I searched for a replacement—but nothing quite matched it. So I decided to make my own.
Fabricated from raw brass, this tool functions beautifully as a large bowl rib, or straight edge. Its design also lends itself well to use as a bench scraper, offering practical versatility in the studio.
